DSC is full of truly incredible people, and we want to share these beautiful stories with you, the public! Stay tuned as we highlight important people and things that help DSC in fulfilling our mission!

Meet Mallory!

I am really excited to be interning at DSC this semester. I have had a lot of volunteer work experience throughout my life. I was in the Girl Scouts of America for eleven years and earned the Girl Scout Silver Award with my troop for creating a sensory garden for the children of Philip J. Rock Center and School for the deaf and blind. I really loved the experience because in addition to creating the sensory garden, we were able to interact and spend some time with the children at the center. Also, I am a member of of Alpha Phi Omega (Alpha Alpha Chapter). Alpha Phi Omega is a national coeducational service organization founded on the principles of leadership, friendship and service.
I find topics in the healthcare field very interesting since my mother is a registered nurse and my sister is a cancer registrar. I plan to become a social worker in a hospital and work in the medical field. Helping others is my passion and I believe social work will allow me to live out that passion. I am very excited for the opportunity to work with DSC so that I may help others.
