Meet AJ!
AJ is an Employment Specialist at DSC and a self-professed townie, who grew up in Urbana. AJ started his career at DSC in July, after working in retail management for several years. DSC was one of AJ’s customers and over the years built a relationship with DSC employees. With the many changes occurring in the retail industry, AJ stated that he was ready for a change and wanted to do something different. When an Employment Specialist position opened up, Kelly Innes and Amy West who work at the Bradley office, encouraged him to go for it, and he did.
“I get to do a little bit of everything. I spend a lot of time in the community, I have great co-workers, I get to help people and it’s always different.” “Every day, I think to myself, ‘this couldn’t be more perfect.’ I have finally found what I want to do when I grow up,” AJ said regarding his role at DSC.
When he’s not working, AJ enjoys spending time with his wife, Amber. They are big Illini sports fans and they have a 9 lb. dog named Quinn. He also likes cooking and golf.
