Michael is impossible to miss with his cheerful attitude and friendly greetings. He has been coming to DSC since 1983 and says that he has loved watching how much things have changed. Currently Michael is working on assembling caps for with Advanced Filtration in Champaign and occasionally works with wood for a contract with Great Planes.
Michael also enjoys park walking with fellow DSC consumers and staff. Michael has enjoyed this paid position with the Champaign Park District for years. One of Michael’s favorite things to do outside of DSC is to go bowling. He is on the Special Olympics bowling team through Champaign-Urbana Special Recreation. He also likes to read and use the consumer computer lab at DSC to keep up with sports news and do his draft picks.
