As part of our DSC family, you may have attended our largest fundraiser before, C-U Oktoberfest. In the past, the event has been a live, in-person event, held in downtown Champaign. This year, C-U Oktoberfest at Home will be a virtual event.
The 8th Annual C-U Oktoberfest is a fall celebration of music, beer, and food at home. Festivities kick-off on Friday, October 2nd at 4pm with a live raffle basket drawing on the C-U Oktoberfest Facebook Page. Then, plan to join us on Saturday, October 3rd for an evening of fun that will culminate with a live 50/50 cash raffle drawing. Raffle basket tickets are $10 each and 50/50 cash raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.
To make the most out of your C-U Oktoberfest at Home Experience, you will want to plan ahead. In addition to purchasing raffle tickets, you can order fun C-U Oktoberfest t-shirts, steins, bandanas! Visit www.cuoktoberfest.org to order your raffle tickets and merchandise. Proceeds benefit DSC! You may even want to Invite a few friends, or business colleagues to join you. (Please follow current public health guidelines). Pets are invited too! Send in your Oktoberfest or fall pet pics to info@dsc-illinois.org and we will share as many as we can during event week.
Then, you’ll want to either pre-order and pick-up your Oktoberfest food and beer from one of our recommended partners, or plan ahead to make your own. We’ll have resources available for you online and on Facebook.
Get in the spirit at home by wearing your best dirndl or lederhosen (or keep it casual)! We’d love to see photos of your C-U Oktoberfest at Home! Submit your photos to info@dsc-illinois.org to be shared during event week.
Event Day-Tune-in throughout the C-U Oktoberfest Virtual Event on Saturday, 4-8pm! Patterned after the annual festival in Bavaria, (but online!) the C-U Oktoberfest at Home features music from bands, including the Polkaholics, Die Musik Meisters and the Bolzen Beer Band who will be playing festive polkas, waltzes, and traditional German music mixed in with plenty of your favorite songs on Saturday night, as well as other featured content throughout the evening.
