The Speak Up Speak Out Conference in Bloomington was exactly the inspiration and hope we needed to carry us through the year. It was exciting to see how much attendees have strengthened their self-advocacy skills, asking thoughtful questions and demonstrating a deep understanding of where their services can improve. We also appreciated the legislative panel's willingness to engage in meaningful conversations about community-based services and the harm that can result when those supports are reduced. Together, we are working together for a stronger, more informed disability community.
