The story of the Snow Queen, written by Hans Christian Andersen, follows a little girl named Gerta, whose best friend, a boy named Kai, was captured by the Snow Queen, after his eyes and heart are pierced by shards from a magic mirror that makes people see everything as ugly. The tale tells of Gerta’s journey to discover what happened to her friend, and all the people she meets along the way.

The Prompting Theater’s retelling of the classic tale involves using live actors and puppets in order to bring the story to life.

Show date: Saturday, April 20th, 3 pm

Location: SoDo Theater (114 S. Neil, downtown Champaign….parking available for free at the Christie Clinic parking lot across the street)

Tickets: $10 donation

This show is good for all ages and all abilities. The show runs about 25 minutes.
